Refreshments will only be provided at the venue if the congress receives an offer to organise refreshments. However Marlow is a riverside town, and there are likely to be nearby establishments open. If refreshments can be provided at the venue, entrants who supply an email address will be informed.

Players will play in sections according to their latest published BCF grade. As a guide last year’s sections were: -
Championship over 159
Challengers 156-138
Reservers “A” 136-120
Reserves “B” 119-111
Reserves “C” 111 - 86
Reserves “D” under 85
The grade limits will vary according to entries.
If you play in a different section from the one you entered, any balance of entry fee will need to be paid or refunded at the event.
The rate of play in all tournaments is 40 moves in 2 hours followed by half an hour extra for each player for the remainder of the game.
The congress is affiliated to the BCF Game Fee Scheme. BCF full direct individual members may deduct £2 from their entry fee giving their BCF direct membership number.
No half point byes will be permitted. Entry is a commitment to play in every round, and the committee reserves the right to refuse entries for any reason, including future entries from players who default without good reason.

Directions
The A4155 from Henley leads into West Street, Marlow. The school is on the left approaching from Henley, and on the right approaching from Marlow town centre, and is almost opposite a car park.
Parking
The school car park off Oxford Road is available for congress parking. In West Street take Oxford Road, signposted “Freith 4, Bovingdon Green 1. Pass the Marlow Language Centre on the left, and the Ford “Platts of Maidenhead” garage on the right. Turn left at the “IN” sign where there is a yellow sign “This is a private car park. Unauthorised vehicles will be clamped. Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School.”
